The first-aid requirement

These settings must ensure a rapid emergency response: care staff able to provide first aid and CPR to older adults until medical help arrives. The official SNPP/MSPyBS elderly-caregiver course (100 h) explicitly includes a first-aid module; outside that course the occupation is unregulated and a standalone certificate is valued.

A recognized, up-to-date first-aid certificate is the way to meet this requirement; it is in addition to the caregiver's occupational training and must be renewed periodically.
