Childcare CPR & first aid requirements

First Aid & CPR Paraguay

If you work in childcare in Paraguay — whether at a daycare, preschool, home-based care, or camp — first aid and CPR certification is not optional. It's a licensing requirement, and for good reason: children are among the most vulnerable to choking, allergic reactions, and injuries. Being prepared to respond can mean everything.

What Paraguay requires

In Paraguay, the Centers for the Well-being of Children and Families (CEBINFA), under the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare, provide comprehensive care with continuously trained staff, including basic care and first aid. The exact parameters — training hours and refresher intervals — are not published, but staff preparedness in first aid is part of the expected standard of care. In practice, it is advisable to keep training current through periodic recertification.

Anaphylaxis and medication administration

Paraguay has no childcare-specific framework for anaphylaxis or epinephrine, and adrenaline is dispensed only as prescription ampoules, with no auto-injectors marketed in the country. The sound practice is therefore to record each child's allergies, obtain written parental authorization to give any prescribed medication, and keep it stored safely and within easy reach.

How our courses meet these requirements

A recognized, standards-based certification in pediatric first aid and CPR meets Paraguay’s requirement and keeps your team ready to act.

Don't wait for renewal day

When a child is choking or a heart stops, the first minutes are decided by whoever is present, not by whoever arrives later. Training in first aid and pediatric CPR gives staff the calm and the technique to act safely, and it gives families the assurance that their children are in prepared hands. A recognized, standards-based certification turns that readiness into something tangible for the day it truly counts.
